panoramarama wow!

From this guy.

“I started playing with 3D on the Atari ST and later on the Amiga. Made a living out of it when moved into PlayStation development, but almost forgot it all when I switched to web design. But time has passed by and Flash has improved greatly. With higher processing power and much faster screen rendering, it’s now possible to get really nice results.”

Lazy Town – Baking a Cake

Posted in Aural,Filth,Visual by Snugglebutt on the January 26th, 2007

Cake Song

Cake Song

Lyrics:
I’ll pile on the candy,
It’s such a pretty sight
It makes the food taste dandy
But my tummy hurts all night

I’ll put in some ingredients
But keep the rest for me
I’m not just disobedient
I’m careful, can’t you see?

It’s a piece of cake to bake a pretty cake
If the way is hazy,
You gotta do the cooking by the book
You know you can’t be lazy
Never use a messy recipe,
The cake will end up crazy
If you do the cooking by the book,
Then you’ll have a cake
We gotta have it made,
You know that I love cake
Finally, it’s time to make a cake

Making food is just like science,
With tools that blend and baste
And every fun appliance
Gives the food a different taste

It’s a piece of cake to bake a pretty cake
If the way is hazy,
You gotta do the cooking by the book
You know you can’t be lazy
Never use a messy recipe,
The cake will end up crazy
If you do the cooking by the book,
Then you’ll have a cake
We gotta have it made,
You know that I love cake
Finally, it’s time to make a cake
We gotta have it made,
You know that I love cake
Finally, it’s time to make a -
‘You gotta do the cooking by the book!’
Cake!

Low levels of cocaine have been found on all the Irish bank notes tested in a recent survey.

As part of a major study into illicit drug use within Ireland, Brett Paull and colleagues at Dublin City University have taken advantage of recent developments in liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry to detect contamination on Irish euro notes. Traces of cocaine were found on every one of the 45 used notes analysed, and traces of heroin were found on three notes.

Audio Visual Experiment in Flash

Posted in Aural,Visual by sq2 on the January 18th, 2007

Esque AV

Similar to the Drums, Piano post… here’s one that i made a while ago… music and graphics done in flash. The idea was that every sound had a unique or Visual to boot… So perfectly synchronised. Unlike audio>visual plugins and some VJ tricks that use the shape of the audio wave and the frequencies within to convert the audio to visual, this is a true representation of each sound having a visual. Perhaps the visuals aren’t purely representing the aural, but that is up for your semiotic analysis.
Not just eternity, but infinity… Speech sample is from Waking Life.

cheesy, but worth watching.
